Task 4/ Final Project
Week 11 ( 01/07/2025)
In this week's class, we were briefed about the final project. For the
final project, we are required to create a poetic, life-lesson animated
video that is about 15-20 seconds with caption. We were told that we do not
need to create our own script or captions as many choices are already
provided by Mr Fitri. After going through the choices of captions
given, I have decided to choose the caption
"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life
of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being
shared.” – Buddha .
Week 12 ( 08/07/2025)
This week's class was held online as online consultation for our final
project, students are welcome to show and consult Mr Fitri for their work, either ask for improvement or on how to do the final project.
This week, after having my moodboard, I started sketching my ideas out
and finalize my storyboard. My animation ideas are based on more cute
style and playing with colors so that it is more noticeable and
playful.

Week 13 ( 15/07/2025)
This week, we didn’t have any lectures—just consultation sessions, like
last week. During my consultation, I asked Mr. Fitri some questions about
the project details to make sure I was heading in the right direction.
Once I got the clarification I needed, I continued working on my animation
by adding the quote and choosing the background music.
For the audio, I picked a "cute ambient background" track because it
matches the overall vibe of my animation—playful, colorful, and cheerful.
I felt it suited both my art style and the positive message in the quote I
chose. After finding the music on YouTube, I converted it to MP3 and added
it into my video.

Week 14 ( 22/07/2025)
In this week’s class, I asked Mr. Fitri for feedback on my final
animation. He suggested that instead of using left-to-right and
right-to-left transitions, I should keep it simple with a small zoom-in
and a crossfade between each scene. I took his advice and made the
changes, and I think it really helped the flow of the animation. After
finalising everything, I did a final check to make sure there were no
issues, and then I exported the video.

Techniques Applied
For this final animation, I applied simple but effective animation
techniques that matched the tone of the quote I selected. I used soft
transitions like zoom-ins and crossfades between scenes, based on Mr.
Fitri’s feedback, to maintain a smooth and calming flow. I also paid
close attention to colour choices, using bright and cheerful tones to
reflect the quote’s uplifting message. To tie everything together, I
added a cute ambient background music track that complements the
visuals and enhances the emotional mood of the piece.
Looking back on the process, I really enjoyed creating this animation.
Even though there were some challenges—like figuring out the right
transitions or choosing the most suitable visuals—I learned a lot by
trying things out and asking for guidance during consultations. I’m
proud of how it turned out, especially because I was able to blend my
own playful style with a meaningful quote. This project reminded me that
animation doesn’t have to be complicated to be impactful, and I’m happy
with the growth I’ve made along the way.
